St. Dominic Health Care Services (SDHCS) is a registered Community-Based Organization (BDC/CBO 4076 /2014 ) established in 2012 and based in Nakibizzi Zone, Njeru Municipality, Buikwe District, Uganda. We exist to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable communities by providing accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare services through integrated preventive, promotive, and curative approaches.

Over the years, SDHCS has grown into a trusted provider of maternal and child healthcare, HIV/AIDS prevention and care, immunization, family planning, nutrition support, and community outreach services. We work closely with communities, local leaders, healthcare providers, government agencies, and development partners to improve health outcomes and build healthier communities.

To provide accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare services to vulnerable communities through integrated preventive, promotive, and curative healthcare, while empowering communities to lead healthier and more productive lives.

Our Team

SDHCS operates under a strong governance and management structure that ensures accountability, transparency, and effective service delivery. The organization is governed by a Board of Directors composed of 5 members and 2 ex-official members. Board members are elected during the Annual General Meeting (AGM), usually held in December. During the AGM, registered members—including clients, staff members, and interested community members who have fulfilled membership requirements—participate in electing board members upon term completion and advise on the future direction of the organization.

The day-to-day operations of the organization are led by the Executive Director, supported by heads of three departments:

  • Medical Services

  • Counseling Services

  • Accounting and Finance

The Executive Director is accountable to the Board of Directors, which provides oversight and strategic guidance to ensure the organization achieves its mission and objectives.
